Driving towards Lauvsnes you cannot miss this impressive overhang just next to the road.
The wall is about 20 meters tall and 7-8 meters overhanging.
The parking is (as seen in the photo) in a pocket just next to the wall so there is basically no approach. The wall has only a few established routes as of yet, along with a few hard projects. The potential for more routes is not huge, but it is definitly there, tho mainly in the mid to higher grades. The rock quality is good so for a short evening session on the way to Flatanger, or for those chasing hard first ascents it`s worth a visit.

The VVS wall was discovered in the year 2000 on the same trip as the Flatanger cave by Pål Benum Reiten and Thomas Vekve, who had come out from Trondheim to explore the potential of the region. VVS, being where it is just next to the road, was the first wall they saw and the first wall they started bolting.
They returned to it a few times that first year with Eivind W. Nagell and others and bolted a few more routes, but after the initial bolting and establishing of the first few routes the focus shifted away from the wall to the wast potential of the Flatanger region.
Since then, despite its quality and potential, it`s fallen into the shadow of the Flatanger cave also for those seeking harder routes, leaving the projects mostly untried and untested awaiting a new wave of eager explorers to finish what Pål started.
