The routes are classical lines (cracks, dihedrals, slabs, towers...) with quite good protection. All in all rock quality is good but sometimes not perfect so better take a helmet.

One of the best winter crags in Frankenjura if sun is shining.

Due to the exposed location the crag dries very fast.

Access is moderate but the base offers some steep sections. Furthermore aware of rock falls. You might find a solution to bring your kids but there are better winter crags that suit to kids.

All shopping can be done in Forchheim. Erlangen is not far away if you're looking for some city amenities.
