Best season two come here might be spring to autumn. Though you can find good conditions in winter time but the wind can get quite cold up here.

The south faced tower sides dries within a few minutes after rain. The further located sectors can stuck moist. Due to the vertical walls there is not much rain protection.

This is not the crag if you are going to polish your ego. Climbing is very technical and sort of old school. Furthermore grading is hard. BUT it's a fresh alternative to the common Frankenjura style. Love it or hate it.

The furthest sectors "Fiechtlwand" and "Edelweißwand" have the best base for kids but access is quite rough for kids.

Accommodation you'll find all around. Best beer garden for recovery is "Hübner Bräu" in Steinfeld. Here you get probably the cheapest and best home fried potatoes. In "Würgau" itself you find good opportunities for stopping for a bite to eat. Shopping facilities are located in Scheßlitz.
If everything is wet or you need a resting day you should visit the historic center of "Bamberg".
