Alongside La Vela, Zambana is one of the earliest crags developed in the Trento area. In recent years, however, a brand new sector called Zambanetta has emerged here.
• Even if the classic Zambana is history, you should not be worried about the routes equipment, since the local climbers periodically take care of their maintenance.
Zambana collects over 70 routes going from 5 to 8a/b, a wide difficulty range. The walls are vertical on the crag sides, but in the middle there is a nice overhang. There are only a few challenging routes that have been free climbed on this section of the wall, while the others can be faced with the dry tooling equipment.
The rock is limestone and few routes could result a bit polished but are still nice.
The wall faces East, so it is shadowed in the afternoon. During Summer, if you are lucky with the forecast and the wind blows, you could find good conditions.
The approach is super short and the crag base is flat and comfortable.
Note: the routes on the left side of the wall untangle among a large amount of bolts. By climbing there and talking with kind local climbers we were able to draw the original lines. Have a care look at the topo if you do not want to get lost :)
• Zambanetta is more recent. Access is easy and short, protections are safe and close to each other. There are 12 routes that are quite challenging, ranging from 6c+ to 8a+. There are still some projects waiting for a first ascent. Routes are more technical on the left side of the wall, way more bouldery on the right.

Assieme a La Vela, Zambana è una delle prime falesie sviluppate nella zona di Trento. Negli ultimi anni, tuttavia, è nato anche un nuovo settore chiamato Zambanetta.
• La classica Zambana ha una lunga storia, ma non preoccuparti delle protezioni delle vie, poiché gli arrampicatori locali si occupano periodicamente della loro manutenzione. Zambana raggruppa oltre 70 vie che vanno dal 5 all'8a/b, offrendo una vasta gamma di difficoltà. Le pareti sono verticali ai lati della falesia, strapiombanti nel centro. In questa sezione strapiombante ci sono solo poche vie che sono state scalate in libera, mentre le altre possono essere affrontate con l'attrezzatura da dry tooling. La roccia è calcare e alcune vie possono risultare un po' unte ma sono comunque belle. La parete è esposta a est, quindi è in ombra nel pomeriggio. Durante l'estate, con un po’ di fortuna con le previsioni meteo e con l’aiuto del vento, si possono trovare buone condizioni. L'approccio è super breve e la base della falesia è confortevole.
Nota: le vie sul lato sinistro della parete si districano tra un gran numero di spit. Dopo aver arrampicato alcune vie e aver parlato con i gentili arrampicatori locali, siamo riusciti a tracciare le linee originali. Controlla bene la relazione per non perderti :)
• Zambanetta è più recente. L'accesso è facile e breve, le protezioni sono sicure e vicine tra loro. Ci sono 12 vie abbastanza impegnative, che vanno dal 6c+ all'8a+. Ci sono ancora alcuni progetti in attesa di una prima salita. Le vie sono più tecniche sul lato sinistro della parete, mentre sul lato destro sono molto più boulderose.
