The RAC is by far and away the most popular haunt for those looking for their first outdoor sends (possibly along with the Cromlech roadside) in North Wales. The abundance of lower grade problems with a short and simple walk in certainly helps! And there's plenty here too, with two large boulders hosting routes on all sides as well as more recent additions in the 2017 North Wales Bouldering Guide for those looking for something a bit more challenging than the Pump Traverse.
Throw in a short walk in and it's quick to realise why this is such a popular local venue. However, with that comes popularity and it is common to find local centres using this for their groups. Nevertheless, it is still a crag that any new climber in the area should sample and get some of those first ticks on their profile.
