Vlychada
Vlychada feels like a hidden paradise. Picture a remote beach nestled in a protected bay, with crystal clear water and a cliff offering a wide range of climbing difficulties. You can start your day with a relaxing swim and sunbathing, then switch gears by midday to climb in the shade on pocket-filled routes, from easy slabs to steep, athletic lines.
Nearby, a newly added subsector called Hidden Gem offers a contrasting experience. Its opposite orientation makes it perfect for early sessions or for combining with Vlychada’s main wall for a full day of climbing. The lines in Hidden Gem climb through big huecos on a semi-steep wall.
If you're carrying a saw, the trail could use some help clearing, t's easy for the path to overgrow.
Balogeri
Another gem on the same stretch of stunning turquoise coastline is Balogeri. Secluded and tranquil, it sees very few crowds. From Vlychada beach, it’s about a 10–15min drive followed by a 20min walk.
This wall is especially appealing for climbers tackling French 6th grades, its routes run along smooth grey slabs. For those looking for a little more challenge, a handful of medium grade extensions snake into the adjacent orange overhang.
