First I thought this is not so good, but with the beta Nanna found the moves turned out to be great!

TR on 18.4.2020. At least two lead tries over the years. Now felt steadier than sormenleikkaaja. One offset nut stuck so hard I had to bang it out for 10 minutes.

Climbes well. First go, but Keräilyerät climbed first.

Moria vibes. The slopy traverse and the horror while wrestling with the nose make this boulder. No real idea about the grade. It's definitely easier than Moria, but I'm also convinced that one is harder than 7A. And I'd like to think getting some indoor training done has helped to get some strength back... but maybe not enough to warrant 7A+ after all the 7As that I've tried lately and that remain projects.

First go. A bit unnecessary eliminate, so no star

2nded. Felt familiar the whole way. Pretty sure I have seconded the route also two years ago. I like this one more than Palimpsest

One lead try two years back, where I heard snake hissing inside my head on the ledge and bypassed the crux too much from the right. Second lead try few days ago ended to a small fall at the said crux as I got too greedy and lifted my foot too high up for a rock over. Now cleanly as seconder after N's fine lead.

Good climbing the whole way on variable features. Would benefit from fixed gear at the ledge. Now retrieving the anchor is a bit of a faff and the alternative to climb the 6c to the top doesn't look that appealing either.

Simply wow! Only my second route climbed in Göteborg, but if this is any indication of quality around, I will definitely need to come back. :) The route starts with smooth stone (gneiss?) that turns into gneiss with embedded granite knobs higher up. Bring enough quickdraws! Realizing I was out at the last bolt cost me the onsight (to some mild frustration). There are 8 bolts + anchor. 60 m rope is just long enough for the route.

Very happy to get this one on the onsight as diagonal cracks (and traverses) are usually cryptonite for me. I'm not a master of foot technique, so had to squeeze quite hard.

Climbing in the heat fourth day in a row is starting to feel like work. Half forced red point. There was nothing wrong with the route.

Fun climbing, and although not my style, felt quite easy. All the placements seemed to be there, but I was happy to clip the bolts. :)

Very fun slab climbing on constantly changing angle. Couldn't commit to the probably intended beta at the slopy ledge and used the left arete instead.

Quite an adventure on crumbly rock with at places dubious placements. Tackar för pitoner, the rusty ones and the new ones. Climbing vice not harder than 5+ like someone else said, but trust issues made it feel a bit more challenging.

Third lead try this session and sixth in total. Hot and humid conditions, but had to try hard as I wasn't as scared as usually. Great experience indeed!

Right on the limit! The tiny crimps at the top felt unfairly small after the powerful start. Solid 7B

Good moves and the best kneebar on rock so far. A bit anticlimactic top. 1,5 stars

Short of skin so the first two moves were a bit nasty. Otherwise nice.

Not an optimal process. First read the comments wrong and tried from below the actual starting holds. Then didn't look at the beta videos and started left hand further on the left, matched the under, switched feet and went directly to the top jug. Fun (easier) variation but not legit start as I couldn't reach the pad properly between the rocks. Finally a legit send with Kimmo's beta. Great problem indeed!

Felt easier than Lanskeri or even Rikun reitti in the current form.

I thought I went for a 6B and was surprised by the tough mantle. I guess that's the beef? Scary, but easy topout.

I gave up at least twice before finding a low left heel hook to make the move to the crimp easier. Seal for the top was not the easiest method.

Ok moves, sharp crystals.

Rare feature on Finnish granite indeed. Very similar to L'Angle Allain (gauche) in Cuvier Rempart. Definitely not easy, but there is only one tiny foothold to trust before launching to the jug with left hand, so not a 7 IMO. Easier for tall.

Cleaned properly. The third jug is loose, so didn't dare to pull from it. Topped out.

Climbed it "the wrong way" 15.7.2020. Now with the correct finish. Still good climbing but not using a big crack that is at one point 20 cm away feels really stupid. The wrong way: 2 stars. The correct way no stars.

Could be also flash, but as I couldn't even remember whether I had belayed someone on it, I take the onsight. Crux took me by surprise and I barely kept my nerves.

Old nemesis defeated. Might be even 6C+ or completely crappy beta. Practically the same move as in vol 3 with even more disadvantaged left hand gaston to reach the right hand sider crimp.

First go, but can't remember if I tried this one last time and the top out was familiar from the other problems. Super nice start moves! Without eliminates this is the best problem on this rock.

Great one! Good moves, quality rock, and committing topout.

Cool looking, although short line with good jamming and stemming action. The roof and the topout induce just the right amound of anxiety. Would be solid 1-2 star line in Kustavi. With modern gear pro 1 or max 2 and not that mental, if you clean the topout first. Difficulty 5+ at max. Significantly easier than Sähköpaimen for example.

Aesthetic line from the camp fire place during the early morning. Not so much from the closer distance, but not all that bad either.

Many tries before. Today on the first try. There was blood everywhere when I reached the anchor, so also the last try of the day for finger cracks.

Last time no chance. Now felt surprisingly easy

Very good! Resembles Epookki at Palomäki. No chance last year, now manageable with great friction. Still a solid 7A+ IMO, although this is my anti-style. Hieno nimi myös! :)

Last time couldn't manage the sit start. I'm pretty sure at least two holds have broken after the FA, since the first move is not a 6A. Started leaning right from the broken jug with high left heel and locked off to the slopy jug. After that reached to the good right hand sloper jug (skipped most of the holds of Hirvonen"). Then reached left into a crack and topped out from left of it. This is cool variation to the original line topping straight up, even if it's an eliminate. Grade maybe 6C

There are such great kneebars, but then all the nice holds are out of reach and the unsatisfactory (video) beta was much easier. Great disappointment :(

Nice jams, couple of delicate moves and then dynamic move to ledge. Versatile route, but the difficulty is consentrated to the move to get to the arete

Awesome set of holds, and climbs well too! Misread the sequence on the first go. Down climbed the big spruce on the right to get down.

Bouldery start. Good but discontinuous climbing until the big ledge. Scrambled all the way to the top.

Static, as I didn't dare to dyno. Plan the descent carefully before topping out, if you're here without a rope and harness. I ended up down climbing the spruce.

Half an hour for 10 m of climbing. And in the end the move was embarrassingly easy when I found last bit of courage to commit. Thanks to T for the patience as a belayer.

Second session. Might be even 6A?

Maybe a bit harder than Koronamasennus. Dunno how the original line was supposed to climb, but after the first move (which is same as for Koronamasennus) I went to right to a sloper and topped out using the slopers. That way this is more independent line.

Since the original starting holds are gone I started from the corner left hand on the crimp in the left side of arete, right hand on good edge in the right side of arete. It would be possible to start both hands on the right side, but these two holds are the most logical ones.

Quite fun :)

"On tämä saatana työmaa." Took way too many tries from the left using the siders before figuring out that the intermediate shelf was a jug from the right. I might have even become frustrated for a bit, but luckily no-one but mosquitos were there to witness it.

Maybe not the place to come with one pad and no spotters... Figuring out how to sit start from muddy ground using approach shoes as sit start pad took the most time. Topping was exciting with that one actual pad, but fortunately it was well placed.

Tried to start from the undercling and the poor crimp. First go after starting like Emil described. The left hand starting hold (if correct) is not an undercling but a juggy side pull

Derby. Almost certain I had top roped this in 2020. Also recalled it felt awkward then and it felt awkward still today. Might be the most continuous easy trad route in Viitapohja. Star for that

During derby. First there were tecnical difficulties due to shower rinsing the whole wall while N was leading. Rapped down the line to take the gear off, but ended up still leading it. First go, but RP seems more appropriate due to the rappel. Ok, but way too short due to the ledges.

Good easy slab. Very similar to Green planet at Halsvuori, but felt easier.

Purely climbing wise probably the best multipitch I've done, but the closeness of the civilization and its by-products take away some of the feeling of adventure. The crux pitches felt more like sport climbs at times due to stuck gear. Led p2, 6, 7, 9 and 11. We weren't the most efficient team. 14 hours of climbing, but also 2h of wait before getting on the route. That also took something off of the glamour for this kind of ultra-classic route.

Led both pitches (N6 variation for the second). Super nice!

En forsøk med T and N. Led the last pitch. The first pitch with backpack felt as hard as that one. Great fun all the way!

Med Teemu och Nanna. Awesome and variable climbing. First pitch a scary, yet well protected slab. Second pitch a pumpy inner corner (glad I didn't have to lead it) and last pitch awesome cruising with bomber jams. I don't get the topo grade of the last pitch. Felt more like N5+.

Real fun climbing due to quality of the rock and the cracks. Cloudy day (not too hot) and only two people on the wall before us. We did longer third pitch and linked rest of 4 and 5 (60 m rope just barely enough). P1-2 probably could have been linked as well. Should have done this few years ago to get the best possible experience. Still, excellent cruising! 😎

Quite tough moves in comparison to other 6cs I've climbed. Then again it's also short so pump is not really a factor. Falling from the last move after figuring out the moves was really good for my head game.

Bitter sweet red point. Onsight missed only by two moves due to nerves. Simple but excellent climbing. Riippuvat puutarhat variaatio vibes at the end.

Viime vuonna kaksi sessiota, ilman minkäänlaista edistystä. Tämän vuoden eka ulkosessio P:n kanssa tammikuussa. Hieno seikkailu. Liukas lähis, -5 celsiusta, kivi kuivaa ja täydellinen kitka, joskin sormet olivat tunnottomat jo kruksiin tultaessa. P tarjoili J:n huukkibetan, jonka olin jo aiemmin hylännyt, mutta sillä saikin lyhennettyä kruksia yhdellä muuvilla. Toinen ja kolmas sessio huhtikuussa. Kriittinen mikrobeta huukkiin, jolla kenkä solahtaa slottiin. Hylkäsin myös välikrimpit, jotka veivät liikettä väärään suuntaan. Kruksimuuvi ensimmäistä kertaa erillisenä. Neljäs sessio ennen kesäkuun helteitä, kitkat edelleen riittävän hyvät, mutta joko huukista loppui puhti, oikea olkapää väsähti kesken muuvin tai unohdin hengittää. Ei sendiä. Vieläkään. Tänään Taikuri laittoi viestiä. Sendiin on vähän lämmintä, mutta ehkä on hyvä muistella muuveja ennen syksyn kitkakelejä(, joita harvoin edes tulee). Vielä yksi kriittinen pala, joka oli vasemmalla kädellä vetäminen ennen sloupperista haikailua. En siis ollutkaan liian heikko huukeissa! Kiitokset Taikurille & Taikurin housuille sekä O:lle ja M:lle uskon valamisesta tämän päiväiseen prosessiin. Viimeiseenkin muuviin sai keskittyä.

Even if it's not the tallest line, it sure is a proud one. Couple of tries before. Three tries today. Felt completely defeated after the first two. Thank you to all who encouraged me to give it one more go. After such an ordeal it's weird that it feels it wasn't too bad, but I'm glad it's done.

Everything felt hard today. Couldn't get anything done with Varjo, then z-clipped and took a fall right after on this one.

My onsight try of this adventurous line ended high up due to slip from a jam. Then I took another fall one move below the OS high point just to be sure where the crux was. On the send go both biceps cramped so hard I had to force arms straight while shaking. Proper fight, but not a tedious one. Star for each try. Highly recommended!

Very atypical easy climbing at least in Finland. Good holds with big moves all the way. As someone before me put it: "Adventure climbing at its best." Aesthetically pleasing as well.

Nice moves, but the landing is not too welcoming and the spotters may feel a bit claustrophobic because of the spruces around.

A bit mossy, but every critical hold was clean.

Great traverse with some powerful moves. Also good rock quality with enough friction even in the summer temps.

Project of the day. First 10+ tries with arrogant ape beta, then paid a bit of attention. Maybe it's the heat wave, but didn't feel like 6A even with the crack.

6.4.2020 TR, now in lead. After the crack boulder, balancy rock overs are the name of the game. Cool route!

Biggest crux was between the ears again. Went first go after figuring out the beta. Nice climbing but lacks continuousness.

Didn't manage the ss this time either, so lets take this one then.

On the corner right from Arvet on ikuisia. Bit of a silly problem climbing wise, but fun. Used heel hook higher than the starting hand holds. Name comes from that.

I usually do not like hook traverses, but this one was very nice!

Low fitness, or just a sand bag

I start to feel like I have been pretty generous with the stars lately. Now the scale is not enough anymore so I put my 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 s in here. I have followed Teemu's efforts as belayer before, but thought it too scary and hard for me to lead. Now figured the beta on the first round (on which I was astonished how pleasant jamming the start was) and went to the top on the second try (on which I had most difficult time with the OG start from the cave). So glad I decided to give it another go! ☺

Didn't feel like 7A. I don't know what exactly was eliminated.

Good moves, but the straight one is a more pleasant line. I think the crux of this one is a bit easier so the grade is about the same.
